I'm just learning TWOs so I'd like to have the luxury for the moment of knowing the target ship speed without having to work it out. In vanilla game you could click on the ship's map symbol and it'd display speed. Can this be done with TWOs?

Also is there a way of putting in data in XO pop up, going to map and back to periscope with game paused?

I think this thread will help:

If you've got map contacts on, you use the 3:15 second rule. The second or third post down talks about it.

As far as I can recall, it doesn't show the target's speed by clicking on it with twos, but I could be wrong.

Unfortunately, you can't go from one screen to another when paused.

Nothing prevents you from plotting with map contacts off, either. Get a range and bearing, use the compass and protractor to draw out that range and bearing and then plot an x. Wait 3:15, do it again.

Excellent point, 3catcircus! I’ve been practicing calculating the target’s course based on their AoB. However, simply plotting on the map like what you suggest would certainly do the job! I’ll add this method to my toolbox.

Thanks for the help. The 3:15 rule works!)
