After a very long absence I started playing SH 4 with FOTRS again. I returned from an early pigboat patrol sinking a BB and a DE near Luzon. After ending the patrol I noticed that I did not receive any rating (and no medals). Is this how it is supposed to be?

Which version of FOTRS are you using, and do you any other mods added? Use JSGME and use "Tasks..." and then "Export activated mods list" and paste that in your next post. :salute:

Hey, I use FOTRS solely:
Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157
[D:\SH4\MODS]
100_FalloftheRisingSun_UltimateEdition_v1.004.a_EN
May I add that I ended the patrol with one incomplete objective ("stay around Luzon for an indefinite time" or the like).

Any ideas why I got no rating? Did I miss something important to do before docking?

You didn't complete your objective... In FotRSU, you will see green circles delineating your prescribed patrol location. Most of the "orders" you encounter will be altered while you are on patrol. Very few of the orders that say "... ten (10) days..." actually last 10 days. I think there is one. Another last 9 days, another 6, one is like 5 days, and another is that no sooner did the submarine arrive on-station, when they were moved to attempt to intercept a perceived invasion, only to find that it was a false alarm. The fog of war was really bad for the Asiatic boats. So you will seldom have to patrol as long as stated. But, you will often receive orders sending you elsewhere. You will also find that the ships do not garner near as much renown as the stock game does, and that you will have to sink three times as much tonnage as before, unless you follow orders...
But seriously, we did find an issue (we think), and I am currently doing final tests and then a confirmation test, to make certain we know what it is causing some of the issues. Not receiving sinking credit really though, is not that unusual in the Silent Hunter games, unfortunately. It is a possible symptom of something else being amiss in the data - maybe. :salute:
