Greetings from sunny Cambridge.
I've been an avid submarine gamer since the command line days of GATO, Silent Service, Aces of the Deep and the first Silent Hunter. Continued playing the Silent Hunter series until about a decade ago. But have recently dusted off my CDs and re-discovered the series, coming out of retirement due to the current Coronavirus lockdown - what better way to really feel cut off from civilization than running silent and deep beneath the Atlantic in a Type VII U-boat looking for prey? And especially hunting those valuable loo roll convoys ;) I also now have the pleasure of introducing my 13-year old son to the joys of the Silent Hunter series and many a hard-fought raid has already been fought on our home LAN!
Happy to be with this merry group and hope everyone stays safe but happy!
