I heard about this eartlier today, so am surprised to find it not yet reported in GT's:

I'm really sorry to hear of the passing of Kenny Rodgers. Kenny had a number of hits songs and collaborations with a number of musical artists. Kenny was a great entertainer. Kenny won 5 CMA awards and his music transcended music boundaries.

Rest in peace Kenny and thanks for the great music.

Rest in peace.

Heard it first in 1969 i think.. what a text.

Only in the version i heard, he sang "..if i could move i get my gun and put her in the ground.. ..got six turn around 'click - clickclick, click - clickcklick..' ", and i still think that is what he meant to do when she returned.

Me too :yep:

Now I'm about to do what I often do when an artist I have always rated passes away.....purchase a CD of his favourite hits because even if I have that album on vinyl stored in the garage (not sure if I have or not) I no longer have a record player.

RIP Kenny

"You never count your money while you're sitting at the table." For some reason it upsets my business partner whenever I mention that. LOL He's an "all in" type of guy, and I'm definitely not. :03: Probably the lyrics I quote the most often from any song ever.
