So coming back and currently installing LSH3 to try something different (I was a GWX player back in the day).

Anyways, I am familiar with GWX and was curious what the main differences are between itself and LSH3, I'd seemed to see that LSH3 had more packaged with it(H.sie's fixes for one) as well as a more intensive requirement and more range overall.

On top of that what are some of the other must have mods for an SHIII install?

I am looking at the Volumetric clouds & Fog, and the DBSM as well as the awesome U-boat models I've seen recently but I am kind of at a loss as to what else to get.

Whatever it is I have the space and power to run it for sure. Thanks! :Kaleun_Salute:

EDIT: Hmmm also, seems I have it installed correctly. But even trying to follow the documentation, no matter what I do it gives me the 3D Engine Cannot Initialize bug. ONLY when using either 16:9 GUI mod. Suspect its something to do with my driver settings which I'll play around with another day.

Das Boot Sound Mod for SHIII? I did that, with the blessing of the original DBSM team, who created the original mod for SHII.

Here are a couple of fixes I did much later:

There are also a bunch of great songs to be found in that 'Sound Mods' part of the SHIII downloads section.

Hi Casey
LSH3-2015 comes as a complete package either in single parts or a single download.
Like GWX it comes with its own optional mods.
SH3Commander is installed with automatic rollback and also HSIE v16B1 is automatically setup so does not need to be enabled in JSGME unless you want to add additional patches to make the game harder.

OLC is also included In JSGMEas an optional.

Cool. So the main issue I am encountering now is that the widescreen mods seem to crash my game on startup with the cannot initialize 3D engine error. I have an ASUS RX480 8GB GPU and followed the guide to fix that issue (although my options are in slightly different places due to the updated software/drivers). Short of rolling back drivers is there anything that can be done to get widescreen mods to work?
