Ahoy mates,
Former Silent Service Vet QM2(SS) USS ULYSSES S GRANT SSBN631
Player back in the early to mid '90's Silent Hunter, 688 Attack Sub, 688(I), SEAWOLF, Sub Command. Was also a member of SEAWOLVES for a while.
Loved Sub Command so much (as a QM my Battle Stations was the GEOPLOTTER for TMA as part of the FIRE CONTROL TRACKING PARTY in the ATTACK Center) in it's realism I decided to come back after many years.
See it's very different now. Cold Waters is also very cool, but I prefer my own TMA with all it's mistakes and challenges. Love the backbreaking "Vulcan Death watch" waiting for the hunted to appear from the silence.
It's very ZEN and teaches one patience.
I'm also a member of the SubCommittee and own 12 Radio Control Submarines, from a small 1:96 Scale BLUEBACK to my very large 1:48 Scale 688 Flight II USS KEY WEST SSN-722. Sci Fi Subs as well.
My son and I both own Sub Command and Cold Waters through STEAM and are looking to challenge each other and others online.
Hoping there's a way to still do it.
Nevertheless, glad to be here!
