Submarine Patrol Logs

I always wanted to read submarine patrol logs German or American but I cannot find them online. Maybe I just aint looking in the right place. So basically I am looking for complete patrol logs if anyone has or knows were I can find them?

For US logs and patrol reports, you could try contacting or visiting the USS Nautilus museum in Groton, Ct. They might have what you're looking for or at least they could give you more info.
They have a large building next to the ship, and as I recall they have a large collection of logs and paperwork for many US subs.
Just be aware the actual logs and paperwork are considered as archived historical documents, so they wouldn't be available for "check out" but they might offer duplicates. Also be aware that many of these documents might require a FOIA request.

Bah! you lot aren't much help,

Yeah, now that I think about it, I wanted to learn how to fly bombers in Flight Sim. Not just learning how to fly the plane but figuring out how SAC worked and how its crews operated. :hmmm:

I wound up doing a lot of digging in the book section at Amazon. As it turned out, there were books available and I was able to find the info I needed. :up:

The irony was in looking for books that were written by navigators instead of by pilots, so you may need to try thinking outside of the box to find what you want. :up:

In the US, being a submariner is kinda like joining a private club (with a security clearance).
