Hi

I am doing the initial research for my XXI walkthrough video and plan to visit the Wilhelm Bauer next year.

However, I need some help from you guys please:

Since she was raised and refitted, can I trust that the interior is representative for how she looked during WWII?

I'm not going to take their word for it but Wikipedia claims that after her raising and time as a test bed for the post war German navy she was restored to her WW2 config in 83 when she became a museum boat. Other members here might have visited her though so they'd have a better idea.

You can tell the submarine has been modified and re converted back, there are a few things in there that caught my eye when i went that i dont think belonged pre salvage, the interior has been modified as well to allow better access, i also dont think the batteries are correct but i maybe wrong.

My worry was if major parts were not authentic, buy if it's most then I should be good 👍

What would you focus on for a walkthrough video?
What's really interesting with this sub?

There are some systems they are small and you got to pay attention while inside that are post world war two, i do have the book about her back in the UK.

This is my albums from my own trip inside her;

I asked the museum and they stated that the submarine was NOT reverted to its WWII configuration/setup.
Now I need to figure out what that means, but my best guess is that everything except maybe the diesel engine has been replaced... :(

Anybody out there with some inputs on this?
