early at War, i started a Campaign in Wilhelmshafen and, with a modest model IIb and two torpedoes i got the Hms Hoods.


Surprise. Next Tour the War was over :)

it's done. Was easy. I'm playing Sh3 since about 15 years and if U r' tired to be fired by planes end 44 near Lorient, i could tell you where to go exactly in 39. (Time & Grid).


Just wait a few hours with a good cold beer on the right place, no need to silent mode, gramophone on 12 and then a good salve and you can go back to WH, than marry the nicest nurse and go to honeymoon in London. That's Life !

look this picture.


1) U see the last date : 11 oct. 1939 Kriegsende (war over). Impossible to go back in Game, logical.


2) U see also just before my saved Game (so U know U can catch Hood 21 sept. 1939) i named it "boom", it was just few minuts after my hit. He sink fast with 2 torpedos.


3) this is a picture with VIIc, i delete the Carreer whith the same result and my little IIb

few precisions...


Hood is accompagned by 4 or 5 destroyers but it's so at beginning, they dont be dangerous. Hide underwater, shoot'm up approximativly from 3 km and they don't find you.

Curiously, the destroyers don't stay near Hood when it sinks, they don't search you hardly.


Better for you because only 70/80m depth on this place...


U want to found the Place ? Hints on my document. U see, I sarted mission on 21 sept 1939, direction O of Scapaflow, u know, the "door" where u can reach the faster and without risk Atlantic... Normal speed... direct course... 3/4 distance between WH and Scapaflow, U will see him several times... Good Luck.

After so many years under sea with this damned explosions around us, my crew and i R perhaps a little nervous when we hear british humor.


ps : Since 2 years, i'm playing in "linux" condition. Need many months too understand why i could'n't use 1980p. Then i read (not here) it's only possible without digital cable on monitor... after so many try, so many patches and crash to desk i change it and... hop, like a charm. Perhap's this could help anybody in same case :)


ps2 : now, i search why i cant see Smoke on all this ships with my configuration. Perhaps a new american technology ? all electric with Tesla motors ?
