installation of new speech files

I am re-installing SHIV and want to use after-market speech files. I note there are nine different speech folders, each with what appear to be the same set of speech files. I have several variations of certain files, such as the crash dive sequence that I would like to use at random. If I put a different one in the various speech folders, will I get the different versions from time to time?
