I'm speechless

A FIVE-YEAR-OLD autistic boy has been branded a "sex offender" for hugging a classmate and kissing another on the cheek.

It is the logical consequence of the existing policies.

Yeah paywall cack, Sorry, It should give you freebie view though, unless you used it already. (Cookies)
But yes not much coverage I guess - since its 1) its not a huge story and 2) all the progressive lovey outlets (CNN, Gaurdian etc) wont likely touch it because it makes their narrative look bad.
But it bolsters the conservative one, I'm surprised Fox hasn't jumped all over it yet.

Thats the problem with the hack news outlets, they wont cover anything that conflicts with their narrative if they can help it.
so people of that political persuasion wont hear it, wont question it, and just dismiss it as 'fake nuuuuu's because only the outlets they despise are talking about it.
Confirmation bias re-enforced And we wonder why we are so divided.

Originally it was a Danish artikel and in this article the Sun was mentioned.

I clicked on the word "sun" and I came to the page-which I have posted in my first link.

I didn't knew the Sun was not to be trusted.

I didn't knew the Sun was not to be trusted.

Markus It's a red top newspaper that must be treated with a pinch of salt, mind you the last political party they backed was the Conservatives, I Have no idea if they still back them.

It's a yellow press tabloid newspaper that must be treated with tons of salt, mind you they always back the right wing. I have no idea whether this will ever change.

Fixed that for you, Steed :D (and a link for you: https://www.huckmag.com/perspectives/opinion-perspectives/micha-frazer-carroll-right-wing-nation-the-uk-media-is-broken-and-biased/)

About Murdoch:

His newspapers and television networks had been instrumental in amplifying the nativist revolt that was reshaping governments not just in the United States but also across the planet.
His 24-hour news-and-opinion network, the Fox News Channel, had by then fused with President Trump and his base of hard-core supporters, giving Murdoch an unparalleled degree of influence over the world’s most powerful democracy.
In Britain, his London-based tabloid, The Sun, had recently led the historic Brexit crusade to drive the country out of the European Union — and, in the chaos that ensued, helped deliver Theresa May to 10 Downing Street.
In Australia, where Murdoch’s power is most undiluted, his outlets had led an effort to repeal the country’s carbon tax — a first for any nation — and pushed out a series of prime ministers whose agenda didn’t comport with his own.

Rupert Murdoch's newspapers are not just right wing, they often distort and manufacture news. They are about as "trustworty" as Breitbart or Fox News (edit oops Fox also belong to Murdoch Media), or the german "Bild". And don't you ever believe anything on the 'net (maybe if at all Reuters online) to be true without checking and double-checking. Best would be to use locally printed danish newspapers with some reputation.

Murdoch / Soros conspiracies don't matter too much.
They are just wealthy elites tapping in to pre-existing thoughts and beliefs and exploiting them.
They could both drop dead tomorrow and nothing would change.

Catfish

^ Only that Murdoch controls 80 percent of the truth makers. And when you only look at this forum you see how much believe those media.

JU_88

Yeah he has fingers in many pies, but it does it really matter? like I said, if he died tomorrow, what would change exactly?
I know some of the Left have a fantasy is that if he was gone and his empire was broken up, the right would just magically collapse or something.... except it wouldn't. Just as the left wouldn't collapse with out their alleged boogie man, Mr Soros.

people have way more agencey than you give them credit for, plus politics can be influenced by friends & family, school, pop culture, your lived experience, the medias influence is only one fraction.

GenZ are consuming even less traditional media than the millennial's anyway. And alot of Journos have been getting laid off. the whole thing is actually slowly dying, surely you've notice the likes of the Guardian begging for online subscriptions at the bottom of each article. Faith in the mainstream media (both right and left) is at all time low.

Really good example actually, in 2016 or 17, there was some campus protest,
A lefty activist and MAGA supporter got in to a fight,
the full video clip showed one throw a punch and the other squirt pepper spray.
Depending where you watched it you could either:
see the whole clip in its full context.
Or just the Lefty activist punch (with no further context)
Or just the MAGA guy spray (with no further context)

The last two were edits put out by the big new outlets depending on their leanings, but the full clip was elsewhere on social media where it was clear both were equally guilty of escalating the confrontation.
So, people are now seeing both cut and uncut, and people are not so stupid, on this occasion its a minor but very clear case of manipulation.

Its a shame though that many actively only watch out for the media manipulation of the side they oppose, and never watch out for it from their own side.
So when I hear 'Soros this' and 'Murdoch that', I just kinda have a hunch that its probably the pot calling the kettle.....

I have not been able to find any US source that this child was placed on any "sex offender list". In checking the Tennessee Sex Offender Register there is no mention of this child.

The only sources that seem to indicate that Nathan is in a register seem to be European sources.

The family seems to be worried that he MIGHT end up on a Sex Offenders List. But at this time it does not seem to have happened.

For one thing, Nathan has not been convicted for violation for any of the TN sex laws.

Now, there might be a separate register in the school system that may have him in it.

If that the case ^then its just another sensationalist 'nothing burger'.
Common for headline that contains words like 'could' or 'might'.

Strange, if you wanted to write a story on enforcement over bearing insane laws, there is no shortage of genuine examples.
But yeah, 'muh narrative' and all that.

"Racism, bigotry, and a slowly shifting centre – writer Micha Frazer-Carroll explores how the British press became partisan without anyone noticing."

So right off the bat, the expressed opinion that majority of the UK and right wingers in general are inherently racist bigots then?
plus Related articles such as "Could fully automated luxury communism ever work?
An investigation" - Well, I'm putting my money on their answer being 'yes it could!' :P

yeah.....maybe try something a little less wing nut like these. -hard to find one for UK only outlets though.
