No kill count for aircraft carrier

Hi guys!
I´m currently doing the mission blocade of germany. I was searching the aircraft carrier for 2 ingame months until i found the group straight heading into the red circle. So I waited underwater in front of the group until the carrier was right next to me and finished her with 3 torpedos, according to the log I sunk the Ark Royal. But the game dont want to count the kill. I restarted and tried it again but I always get the same result.
Is there anything I can do to solve the problem?

But the game dont want to count the kill. Stock game tonnage bar bug or incorrect target sunk which will not register on the tonnage bar.

I looked into the files and it says that I have to sink an aircraft carrier in the carrier patrol area, what I already did with the Ark Royal.

I watched some youtube videos of this mission and they sunk the same ship and the game also counted it. So I guess it´s a bug in my game.

Can I fix this somehow? I tired to edit the files by adding the tonnage with your instructions of this post https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=2284011&postcount=1
But I think I did something wrong because nothing happened.
