I made a run at a convoy and destroyed 3 of the 6 merchants.
The game gave me credit for 3.
The Nav Map showed three ship wrecks.
However the last merchant I 'sunk' was still floating. It was 3/4 submerged but still floating about.
I saw the life rafts leave with survivors.
I watched for a while but it never sunk.
So I surfaced and told my gunner to finish it.
He refused to shoot at it.
I had to take the gun and finish it. Two shots and it went down.

Weird, anyone see something like that?

Did it look something like this?

:D Hee-hee, happens all the time with tankers - that's actually realistic, they're called tankers because they have lots of tanks. If it doesn't blow up or catch fire, empty/partially filled tanks will keep it afloat, if it's in ballast (empty tanks) you have to let the air out of a lot of tanks before it will actually sink. Next time it happens check if the superfloaters are tankers, good bet they are.

Yeah thats the one. Makes sense, it was disabled from a torpedo to the engines and the second shot I spun around and hit it with a cutie. Thats when it "sunk"
But floated.
I gues not enough bang for the buck in the cuties, but thats the only one I had left.

It was fun to shoot at though manually.
