Greatest Browns team....nevermind, back to normal. LOL, the Dolphins.

Yes the Browns lost again, but they might make a come back at least

Yes the Dolphins got beat so bad 59 to 10 by Baltimore that Miami Dolphins are looking for trades this morning.

New England and KC were the best games yesterday can't wait to see them play

Chicago has lost six consecutive season openers, tied with the Indianapolis Colts for the most in the NFL. The Saints (who play Monday) have lost five straight. The Bears haven't won a season opener since 2013.

Most consecutive season-opening wins:

1. Broncos: 7

2. Packers: 5

3. Chiefs: 4

Most consecutive season-opening losses:

1. Bears: 6

2. Saints/Colts: 5

When Stills caught that TD pass with only 37 seconds left in the game, I thought another former Saint had come back to burn them again.

I forgot we had Drew Brees.

There is no getting away from the fact that Antonio Brown is a train wreck. I think the entire NFL realizes that now. while it's fashionable to deride Brown for being an Idiot, i have a different viewpoint.

When did Brown suddenly become his worst enemy and become as arrogant and loathsome as he is now ? I can almost pinpoint it. How about the Steelers and Bengals game on Dec 4, 2017. Brown took a vicious hit From linebacker Vontaze Burfict that saw him receive a 3 game suspension. I happened to be watching that game and it was the worst hit I have seen in football to date.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8iFSP_S5h8

Antonio Brown was never the same after that game. His attitude and behavior did a 180 degree about face. Bengals receive Chris Henry exhibited the same bizarre behavior as Brown and was killed in a bizarre accident. an Autopsy was performed only to discover that Chris Henry was suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) -- a form of degenerative brain damage caused by multiple hits to the head.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/news/story?id=5333971

Chris Henry never received the kind of Hits Antonio Brown has. I believe it reasonable to assume that Brown may well be suffering the same thing as Chris Henry.

No goes south and changes as quickly as Brown has unless something has caused it. While there is no doubt Brown has acted stupidly, Brown may well have the brain injuries that a number of Pro athletes like Football and Hockey players as well as boxers receive on a frequent basis.

Skol Vikes. Poor team Chucky.
lolz Seahawks.

I watched the greatest choke in college football. You're ahead 32 points, with a quarter and a half to go.....Looses ball game. Worst part, no reporters asked the coach if he understood the term "clock management." Was St coach, you are the dictionary def of how to loose a game and not take responsibility for it.

That moron continued to pass the ball every smurfin play, like it was the first quarter. I'm not a rocket scientist, but If I'm ahead by 32 with a quarter to go, I'm running the ball evry smurfin play, because that will......wait for it....burn time off the clock. Jebus, you can't fix coaching stoopid sometimes. lol

New England won, but it wasn't pretty ... Now they are 4-0

KC barely won at Detroit and remain 4-0

The NFL got tired of Burfict's dirty hits, and he got suspended today for the rest of the season. Came about after a helmet to helmet hit on the Colts Tight End Doyle. He was warned and fined numerous times, but wouldn't listen, He will now have the rest of the season to think about it,lol

John McClain's 2019 NFL power rankings: Week 7

1. New England (6-0) | Last week: 1

The AFC’s only undefeated team has played one team with a winning record. Their easy schedule continues at the Jets.

2. New Orleans (5-1) | Last week: 2

The Saints have won four in a row since Teddy Bridgewater replaced the injured Drew Brees. Their defense is playing great.

3. Seattle (5-1) | | Last week: 4

Russell Wilson is playing better than any quarterback in the league. He’s considered the early favorite to win the MVP award.

4. Green Bay (5-1) | Last week: 5

The Packers rallied to beat Detroit on Monday night to remain one game in first place in the NFC North. Next up is Oakland.

5. San Francisco (5-0) | Last week: 6

The 49ers’ road victory over the Rams kept them unbeaten and in first place in the NFC West entering their game at Washington.

6. Houston (4-2) | Last week: 13

With back-to-back victories over Atlanta and Kansas City, the Texans are headed for an AFC South showdown at Indianapolis.

7. Buffalo (4-1) | Last week: 7

After getting the weekend off because of their open date, the Bills couldn’t return against an easier opponent than Miami.

8. Kansas City (4-2) | Last week: 3

The Chiefs have lost consecutive home games to the Colts and Texans. Going on the road to play Denver might be good for them.

9. Baltimore (4-2) | Last week: 9

With an offense ignited by Lamar Jackson, the Ravens are on a pace to set a league record for yards rushing in a season.

10. Carolina (4-2) | Last week: 11

Kyle Allen has been a revelation in place of the injured Cam Newton. Christian McCaffrey is a legitimate MVP candidate.

11. Indianapolis (3-2) | Last week: 10

Before their open date, the Colts won at Kansas City. They should be well-rested for their home game against the Texans.

12. Minnesota (4-2) | Last week: 16

The Vikings have won two games in a row. Kirk Cousins has been outstanding. They host Detroit in an important NFC North game.

13. Oakland (3-2) | Last week: 15

Jon Gruden has led the Raiders to consecutive victories over the Colts and Bears. They return from their open date at Green Bay.

14. L.A. Rams (3-3) | Last week: 8

The Rams have a three-game losing streak that puts them in third place in the NFC West going into their game at Atlanta.

15. Philadelphia (3-3) | Last week: 12

Coach Doug Pederson has guaranteed a victory over the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. The winner owns first place in the NFC East.

16. Dallas (3-3) | Last week: 14

After winning their first three, the Cowboys have a three-game losing streak going into their home game against the Eagles.

17. Chicago (3-2) | Last week: 17

After losing to Oakland in London, the Bears had their open date. They return with a home game against red-hot New Orleans.

18. Detroit (2-2-1) | Last week: 18

The Lions have lost close games to Kansas City and Green Bay. They play an NFC North game at Ford Field against Minnesota.

19. Denver (2-4)| Last week: 25

After their 0-4 start, the Broncos have won two consecutive games under new coach Vic Fangio and entertain the Chiefs.

20. Arizona (2-3-1) | Last week: 26

The Cardinals have won two in a row but remain in last place in the NFC West going into their road game against the Giants.

21. Pittsburgh (2-4) | Last week: 27

The Steelers’ road victory over the Chargers with a third-string quarterback was the ideal way to enter their bye week.

22. Cleveland (2-4) | Last week: 19

The Browns are a disappointment entering their open date. Baker Mayfield hasn’t thrown more than one touchdown pass in a game.

23. Tennessee (2-4) | Last week: 20

The Titans have lost four of five games. Marcus Mariota was replaced by Ryan Tannehill at Denver. Both were terrible.

24. L.A. Chargers (2-4) | Last week: 21

The Chargers were 12-4 in 2018 but a disappointment this season. They’ll try to recover from the Pittsburgh loss at Tennessee.

25. Jacksonville (2-4) | Last week: 22

Rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew is coming off his first bad game. He should be able to bounce back at winless Cincinnati.

26. N.Y. Giants (2-4) | Last week: 23

After losing to the Patriots, the Giants get Arizona and a battle of rookie quarterbacks: Daniel Jones vs. Kyler Murray.

27. N.Y. Jets (1-4) | Last week: 31

Sam Darnold’s return was just what the Jets needed. Their victory over Dallas precedes a home game against New England.

29. Washington (1-5) | Last week: 30

The one-point victory at Miami in their first game under interim coach Bill Callahan won’t inspire them to defeat the 49ers.

30. Tampa Bay (2-4) | Last week: 24

One week after the Bucs thought Jameis Winston had finally turned a corner, he had six turnovers, including five interceptions.

31. Cincinnati (0-6) | Last week: 29

If the Bengals can’t defeat Jacksonville at home, who can they beat? They’ve come close so far but fallen short every time.

32. Miami (0-5) | Last week: 32

The Dolphins are the worst of the worst in the NFL, and they got that distinction the old-fashioned way: They earned it.

Note: They say tickets to the Dolphins games are cheaper than the local Zoo

I have lost interest in watching NFL.

I'm so serious tired of all these commercial breaks-happens 3-5 times per quarter and all those break-going back to the studio is shown, where the host and his guest have something to say.

Remember when I first time saw NFL, which was in the end of the 80's no commercial breaks no speaking from host or guest, only commentators

Yes, I was wrong and the coaches for LAC had 60 seconds and three timeouts after Oaklands last time out with a bonus for Chargers missing the extra point, but Philip Rivers throws all 7 long passes taking no timeouts with a final interception.

All he had to do is throw three or four short pases to kick a field goal and win.

Final score Oakland 26 vs LAC 24

The ore-gone Duck football program is all about modeling new uniforms for Nike, 100% style and 0% substance. (although they have put out a couple of good RBs). I'm not anti-Mariota, he's a nice guy, but if I played a schedule of cupcake teams, I'd look good to. ...but the second (most of the time) they go up against a team with a real defence, they get their heads stomped in. I'll go out on a limb and say PAC-12 is garbage football*. See WSU 32 point game choke, with one quarter to go.

So, where am I going with this? If I were a scout and I saw you were Ore-gone's great new QB, I'd look at how many great QBs their program has put out in the NFL. The last good one was Dan Fouts. ..but if you do the click fodder for the worst QB busts, 2 ducks (since 2000) are on there. Sorry, Nike, you can't buy a championship. Substance matters. See Alabama.

Where's your football genius now? Chunky Chip?

I don't know what was wrong with New Orleans losing to Atlanta, but I know it was coaching for Dallas to lose to Minnesota.

First and goal less than a minute left three runs that only had to go 2yards and the fourth down was a pass barely knocked away by Minnesota defence.

Tonight's game in Mexico City is being played at 2,240 m (7,350 ft)
in a soccer stadium that seat 87,000.

The CHiefs are favored by 6 points, but I'm picking the LA Chargers by 2 points.

The Chargers sold over 40,000 tickets for the game more than they do for their home field games in LA :o

Remember last years Monday Night Football game scheduled to play in Mexico City was cancelled and became one of the best games ever played on Monday night in LA?

Last season’s Chiefs-Rams game was scheduled to be played in Mexico City but was moved to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the Rams’ home field, because the condition of the playing surface at Estadio Azteca raised player-safety concerns. The relocated game in L.A. ended up being the most memorable contest of the 2018 regular season, as the Rams beat the Chiefs, 54-51, in the first-ever NFL game in which each team had 50 or more points. It was a sign of the times in one of the most passing-friendly seasons in league history.

Once again, a great weekend!

Joe Burreaux (pardon me, Burrow) wins LSU's second Heisman Saturday night in record setting fashion.

And speaking of records, last night the Saints' Drew Brees not only broke the record for career TD passes, but also set the record for completion percentage in a game at 96.7% by having only 1 incompletion!

So far it's been a good year for football in Louisiana. Even Tulane is going to a bowl game, and 2 or 3 teams made it into the FCS playoffs.

NFL wild-card weekend: Is Tom Brady playing in his final game with Patriots?

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/columnist/bell/2020/01/04/nfl-wild-card-tom-brady-carson-wentz-jj-watt/2812362001/

Tom Brady. The backdrop for the rare AFC Wild-Card game in Foxborough, Massachusetts, includes the buzz about the Patriots’ iconic quarterback possibly playing his final game at Gillette Stadium. Brady, without a contract for next season, has typically downplayed the story line. Still, this isn’t business-as-usual, even though Brady has taken New England to four of the past five Super Bowls and has 30 postseason wins under his belt, while the other 11 quarterbacks in the field have combined for 26 playoff wins. It’s the sagging, 15th-ranked Patriots offense.

Brady, whose 24 TD passes are the lowest in a full season since 2006, hasn’t had the typical support around him. And therein lies the pressure on the 42-year-old Brady, so capable over the years of bailing New England out of trouble and covering up for weaknesses. This time, the offensive line protection is suspect, there’s no reliable power-rushing game and they are thin on wide receiver prowess. Plus, there’s no Gronk.

Great guy with absolutely NO one to back him up on the line.

That's why I'm wondering if its better to find a replacement QB for next year while they rebuild the offence. I don't think Brady will want a new bargain contract. He doesn't deserve that from Foxboro.

The general belief around here is that Tom will stay on as the starter if that is what he wants to do at least for another year. With his filthy rich model wife money has never been an object for Brady so I don't think he'll demand a big payoff, especially if it will give us the cap space needed to get him some good receivers and shore up the O-line.

Here's all of the picks for Saturday and Sunday NFL playoff games

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2020-nfl-playoffs-odds-picks-bracket-predictions-proven-model-fading-the-packers/

After a thrilling Wild Card round that featured two overtime games and multiple shocking upsets, only eight teams remain with a chance at fulfilling their postseason dreams. The divisional round of the 2020 NFL playoff bracket is set, with the Baltimore Ravens, the No. 1 seed in the AFC, hosting the Tennessee Titans, who knocked off Tom Brady and the defending champion New England Patriots last week. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers get set to make their 2020 NFL Playoffs debut at home against the Minnesota Vikings, who have beaten the Niners in four of their last five meetings.

A total of four tantalizing divisional round matchups will be on tap this weekend: Vikings vs. 49ers, Titans vs. Ravens, Seahawks vs. Packers and Texans vs. Chiefs. The Ravens, who enter the divisional round having won 12 consecutive games, are going off as 2-1 favorites to win it all in the latest 2020 Super Bowl odds. They're followed by the 49ers (7-2), Chiefs (7-2), Packers (7-1), Seahawks (12-1) and Vikings (18-1). The Texans and Titans are 30-1 long shots to win it all

NFL Playoff Games on TV Today

AFC Divisional Playoff: Houston at Kansas City, 3:05 p.m. on CBS

These teams met earlier in Arrowhead Stadium this season with the Texans winning 31-24 back in Week 6. The talents of Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes were on full display in that game, as the two dynamic quarterbacks combined for 594 total yards of offense and six total touchdowns.

They also committed four turnovers. But the key for the rematch could be the improvement the Chiefs' defense has shown since the Week 12 bye.

Houston's defense also looked different last week against Buffalo with J.J. Watt back on the field. Winner of this game will host the surprising Tennessee Titans next Sunday in the AFC Championship Game.

Wow!

The Titans knocked off No. 1 seed Baltimore 28-12 on Saturday night a week after beating defending Super Bowl champion New England in the Wild Card Round.

This is it folks NFL Championship Playoffs this Sunday see your local stations for times and events.

I pick KC Chiefs by 7 points over Tennessee Titans  (which KC has only beat once in 9 games)

AFC Championship forecast

Service: The Weather Channel
Projected weather: Mostly sunny
Projected temperatures: 23 degrees (high), 8 degrees (low)
Game-time projection: Sun and a few passing clouds; much colder
Chance of rain: 0 percent

While there isn't even a slight chance of rain (or snow, in this case) listed for Sunday's game, this matchup will no doubt be a whole lot colder than the one being played later in the day -- and not just because we're talking about Missouri rather than California. Sunday afternoon is set to be the coldest time of the whole week in K.C., with temperatures climbing toward the 40s the following weekend. Does that mean much for the game? Not necessarily. But if the winds approach 15 miles per hour along with the cold conditions, it might be worth having a conversation about how the Titans are better suited for that kind of weather. The Chiefs, remember, thrive on the aerial attack, while Tennessee's bread and butter is grinding it out on the ground.

I love Green Bay, but it's the San Francisco 49ers turn for go to a Super Bowl

49ers by 2 points (the Packers have had a much easier schedule than the 49ers) :yep:

NFC Championship forecast

Service: The Weather Channel
Projected weather: Partly cloudy
Projected temperatures: 62 degrees (high), 46 degrees (low)
Game-time projection: Considerable cloudiness
Chance of rain: 20 percent

In other words, don't expect the weather to inhibit or heavily influence the game on Sunday night. Aside from heavy humidity and a small chance of rain, there's nothing to worry about here. Both teams might not be playing under sunny skies, but they might as well be doing so. Nothing should be off-limits in terms of game-planning, and since both sides tend to lean on the ground game anyway, the clear forecast shouldn't benefit one team over the other.

The Kansas City Chiefs have opened as slight favorites to defeat the San Francisco 49ers when the two teams meet in Super Bowl LIV in Miami, Florida, on February 2.

The Chiefs will play for the Lombardi Trophy for the first time in 51 years after beating the Tennessee Titans 35-24 in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday.

That eye-popping number — $10,000 per ticket without fees — is referencing overall average of ticket prices, not the “get-in” numbers for the cheapest seats. But even the nosebleeds for Super Bowl LIV have debuted at some jaw-dropping levels. As of Tuesday morning, get-in tickets on many of the large sales platforms were hovering between $4,200-$4,500 for a single ticket. With fees added in, that payout bloats to nearly $5,600-$6,000 per seat. Across all tickets available on the market, the average price is hovering at nearly $8,000 without fees.

Regular seats are only $4,200 to $4,500 :o

Super Bowl 2020: Patrick Mahomes is rolling out one of the best postseasons by a quarterback in NFL history

In the Chiefs' playoff opener, they fell into an immediate 24-0 hole to the Texans, a hole that Mahomes did not play a role in digging. The offense stalled in the early going due to dropped passes and the special teams essentially handed the Texans 14 points with a blocked and muffed punt. It didn't matter. In the span of a single quarter, Mahomes turned a 24-0 deficit into a 28-24 lead at halftime. He led the Chiefs to touchdowns on seven straight possessions. The Chiefs won 51-31, becoming the first team in NFL playoff history to win a game by at least 20 points after trailing by 20-plus points.

What companies are expected to air commercials this year?

FOX has prepared and sold 77 national ad slots for Super Bowl LIV. As has become tradition in recent years, however, companies are releasing commercials prior to the Super Bowl and plan to re-air them on the day of the game. Here is a list of the known companies that have released ads for this year’s Super Bowl:

How much does it cost to advertise during the Super Bowl?

By November, FOX had already sold out its advertising slots for as much as $5.6 million for each 30-second ad slot. All but one ad sold for more than $5 million and the total sales figures are estimated to top $400 million. CBS charged a record average of $5.25 million for 30-second ad slots in 2019, at which point the average price of a Super Bowl commercial had nearly doubled in just a decade.

Well, It's official. Quarterback Tom Brady of the New England Patriots will be playing elsewhere next season. Reports are that Brady will be playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this upcoming season. It's hoped the future Hall of Fame quarterback can revive a stagnant offense there. It's being reported Brady will be paid 30 million a season.

It's also been said that Problematic and exiled wide receiver Antonio Brown wants to rejoin Brady. In April of 2019, Brown was sued in court by a toddlers father who alleges his son was almost hit by furniture Brown threw from his balcony, almost striking the child. The owner of the apartment also sued Brown saying he skipped out on paying the rent and severely damaged his apartment.

If Brown does go with Brady. It will be a circus and I don't think Brady wants his reputation to be tarnished by a reunion with Brown.

Thank you for seeing this and reporting it ... Tampa Bay had a great year except for it's QB Winston throwing more interceptions than touchdowns.
Should be an interesting year if this virus is peaked by then August could cancel, but not September.

In other news LA Chargers QB Philip Rivers has been claimed by the Indianapolis Colts for $25 million with a one year contract :yep:

This was nice of New England Patriots owner to say thank you to Tom Brady for all of the years he served them :yep:

https://sports.yahoo.com/kraft-family-patriots-thank-tom-143156035.html

The Kraft family and the New England Patriots continue to share their gratitude for everything Tom Brady has done for the franchise over the last 20 years.

They took a full-page ad out of the Tampa Bay Times to thank Brady for all of his contributions.

Thank you, Tom, for your countless contributions to the New England Patriots, and we wish you and your beautiful family continued success. There will never be another Tom Brady.

Well, It's official. The " Gronk " Rob Gronkowski, formally of the New England Patriots, is officially un-retiring to rejoin his bestest buddy, Tom Brady in Tampa Bay. Rob, with a lot of time on his hands had recently begun to get into the wrestling ring.

Although retired, the New England Patriots had the contractual rights to Gronkowski and traded him to Tampa and The Patriots agreed to send Gronkowski and a seventh-round draft pick to Tampa Bay in exchange for a fourth-rounder in the upcoming college draft.

With arguably the best players at their positions, I.E Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski and playing together again, Tampa looks serious about making a deep playoff splash. Tampa Bay football fans have a lot to be excited about this season, that is if there is a training camp and season with Covid-19 curtailing and ending sports seasons.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/rob-gronkowski-set-to-come-out-of-retirement-reunite-with-tom-brady-in-trade-to-tampa-bay-buccaneers/ar-BB12ZWcV?OCID=ansmsnnews11

Ironically, Tampa turned down the services of embattled Wide Receiver turned head case, Antonio Brown but couldn't open the check book fast enough for the Gronk.

This year's college draft taking place on starting on Thursday, April 23rd and is deep in good quality wide receivers. The entry level rookie wide receivers are not carrying the baggage and chaos that Antonio Brown takes every where he goes.

What if Cincinnati picks Joe Burrow's and then they trade him? :o

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/04/22/have-bengals-informed-joe-burrow-that-hell-be-the-first-overall-pick/

The Bengals hold the first overall pick in the draft. LSU quarterback Joe Burrow is widely expected to be the first overall pick in the draft. Thus, the Bengals are widely expected to select Burrow with the first overall pick in the draft.

Now, Jeremy Rauch of FOX19 in Cincinnati reports that the Bengals have informed Burrow that he’ll be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

I didn't use to think that Joe Burrow's was all that good til he proved me wrong in the championship game. :yep:

I hope this Covid-19 virus doesn't stop the NFL football season or even interrupt it come say November/December play offs January and Super Bowl February 2021 :o

The good news for you August is that you can savor the Super bowls won by New England and perhaps usher in a new era there at Foxboro.

It will be interesting to see if Belichick can retool there and begs the question : Was it Brady and company responsible for the Superbowls they won or was it the Belichick way that won those Superbowls.

Since Tampa resides in the NFC and New England in the AFC, you can cheer on Brady, Gronk and company at Tampa and remain loyal to New England. While it's not the same as one big family in Foxboro, kids grow up and move out and move on.

While It's hard to argue with the success that the Patriots and their fans have enjoyed, one gets the feeling that Brady, Gronkowski and perhaps other Patriot players didn't like Belichik or playing for him. Gronkowski jumped at the chance to come out of his year long retirement to reunite with Brady at Tampa.

With that being said, you had a front row seat to one of the greatest football teams to ever play. Not many can say that.

Well, the dust has settled and the 2020 NFL draft has concluded. There were a number of really good Wide Receivers available in addition to an unusually high number of quality Quarterbacks, Running Backs and Defensive Backs.

With all the picks made, how did your favorite team do in the draft ? Did your favorite team pick the players you wanted them to take ?

We don't even know if they will have an NFL football season yet Commander Wallace ...

My favorite team did okay, but they still have to make it through preseason to get on the team. I noticed a lot of teams even the KC Chiefs were hiring undrafted football players left and right.

Maybe cut out two preseason games would be a good idea ... no fans has also been mentioned, but it's too early yet to know for sure.

Here's the NFL Monday Night Football schedule just out today still on ESPN I think which is owned by ABC :yep:

I am coming to grips with that too. The NFL games scheduled to be played in the U.K and Mexico have also been cancelled. We will just have to take a wait and see approach with regards to the NFL games or any sports, really.

This seems totally stupid, imo. You might as well just broadcast 2 people playing Madden. If they even do games this year, seems like the wrong year to have an indoor stadium. I'm kinda thinkin sports is done until further notice. There's too much money involved with sports to keep then clamped down. They'll magically get an exemption. I'm surprised sport's media hasn't completely collapsed yet. (I think sport's media is the second lowest form of media, preceded by entertainment media)

NFL Owners Are Holding A Conference Call This Afternoon

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the NFL owners will have a new conference call today at 2 p.m. EST. This call will be a follow-up to a Friday conference call that flew under the radar.

The real reason for the call :yep:

The NFL also wants to ensure that the players eat a big portion of the anticipated losses from lost revenue. As a result, proposals to the NFLPA have included salary cap reductions for the next couple of years.

I wonder what happens when one or more teams experience an outbreak. Unless every team (including coaches and staff) in the league are quarantined from the start to the end of the season this is probably going to happen.

So what will be the response?

End of the whole teams season right then?

Maybe just loss of the affected players/coaches/staff and a two week quarantine for the rest of the team to see if they are going to get sick before they can be allowed to play their next game. I'm guessing this would mean at least one or two forfeits which would pretty much kiss their playoff chances goodbye.

This would affect the two teams that they played in the previous weeks too. These teams (and those that they have played in the previous two weeks) would also have to quarantine. I just don't see how the league could handle all that.
