Well thats new. After a raid in a harbor with 4 destroyers, I swing around an island and find a beached destroyer in full reverse. He eventually gets free but continues in reverse. Thats weird.
Every seen that?

Quite often. SH4 ships do not maneuver very well near obstacles, and will put it in reverse for extended periods of time, often turning the opposite direction of what would seem sensible for extrication from the situation. If you are ever trying to maneuver your sub in a tight situation, and use a reverse speed with a turn, watch what happens when you click on the compass for a route. The AI is not very "I" when it comes to some situations. For the ships, it is the "Collision Avoidance" that seems to be at fault. It appears that they only have a frontal looking avoidance routine, because they can and will back into things, like docks and other ships - literally back into them, to the point that they "merge" together. They will eventually put it into "forward", and when they do, smoke fire explosions destruction and mayhem... :arrgh!:

Yes, I encountered a destroyer and freighter that appeared to be in flagrante delicto. I'd heard of convoys spawning before, but...
