Hi,

I decided to get back into SH3 after
many years away since its has always had
fantastic game play.

Unfortunately, I have been unable to force
anti aliasing in any non-windowed mode.

So I cannot use any of the widescreen mods
since doing so breaks anti aliasing :(:(:(.

Not sure if this can be fixed or not.
Ive spent many days researching and trying
to fix this on my own but no luck so far.

Im using a widescreen TV whose native resolution is 1360x768.
Graphics card is Radeon RX580 with latest drivers. Windows 10.

So, I am simply trying to get the game running in widescreen
at my native resolution of 1360x768 with working anti aliasing.

Tried installing two year old graphic drivers but that didnt help
so I went back to latest drivers.

Have tried several different widescreen mods but anti-aliasing
has never worked after installing them.

Here are what my current settings are.

And this screen shows how anti aliasing does work in windowed mode

And this screen shows how anti anti aliasing breaks with wide screen mod
(in this case im using widescreen_GWX3 mod)

Anyone have any ideas what may be wrong here so that
I can get aliasing working with wide screen mods?

Thanks for the reply. I have indeed tried a couple of
the graphic injector programs (that you linked to) and although they do
create interesting effects I cannot say that their
anti aliasing filters work well for me. Basically
I have to apply so much strength to the filter to
get rid of jaggies that the filter ends up degrading
everything else. In other words I lose as much as
I gain from using these injectors in regards to
anti aliasing. So I am resigned to playing in
a 1024x768 window for the foreseeable future.

I was desperate to fix this so I installed windows 8.1 on
a secondary storage drive to see if SH3 anti aliasing
worked on the 8.1 system and it does!:).

No idea why I couldnt force anti aliasing in windows 10.
I tried everything suggested here and elsewhere.

Anyway, happy to play SH3 once again in its full graphical
glory ....wide screen and anti aliased to the hilt :)

I may have found a workaround the problem. The anti aliasing works in windowed mode. I have found a program which can turn windowed mode into BORDERLESS windowed mode. The results are that you can play in 1920x1080 with perfect anti aliasing settings in "fullscreen".https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Glossary:Borderless_fullscreen_windowed

Soon I will create a guide in detail how to achieve it.
