FYI HSIE hardcode Fix on SH3 via Steam

This is just a short note to state that I have been unsuccessful at getting the Realism- and gameplay-related hardcode fixes for SH3.EXE- by h.sie -Patch Version V16B1
to process a SH3.exe deployed by Steam. It won't recognize the version number and thus will not run the script.
I have carefully done all of the prep work.


Interesting as tools like Silent Hunter III Front End do recognize that the SH3.exe installed by Steam is the version it needs (1.4B).


This is in no way a complaint of any kind. I understand there are limits of expectation with a wide variety of Steam deployed SH3 scenarios.



If someone finds a work around that would be amazing but I have no expectation.



This HSIE tool will motivate me to get a proper SH3 disk as it does sound like something I would like to use.

I play WAC 5.2 with the hardcore fixes and it works fine. I've played the Steam version since 2014 and never had any problems with it :hmmm: I think the problem is with GWX and not Steam, i remember trying to get the fixes working with GWX and a shipload of other mods and it would always crash
