Congrats! Who knit the baby blanket? My wife is an inveterate knitter currently working on two new-arrival baby blankets (whilst watching Giants baseball or the Warriors!!)so I tend to pay attention to the details! The yearly trips to Scottish distilleries also entail yarn shopping at the source...now that's multi-tasking!:k_confused:

The blanket? I'd have to ask Lauren, this little jewel has received so much from so many sources it's impossible to keep track. I'm visiting again this afternoon so I'll ask.

Congratulation to all! I hope momma and baby are doing well.
Congratulation to you, your daughter and the rest of your family.
You are a blessed man, once again you will hear children laughter small feet running around in the house, curious fingers touching things she aren't allow to touch
And once again you will have the joy to see a little girls eyes when she opens her Christmas gift or birthday gift.

Just catching up...
Congratulations to the new parents and the new grandparents! Congratulations to Lucia Annabelle for having been blessed with a great family to be born into and many, many wishes for a very long, very happy, and very successful life!...
As a point of curiosity, have you all decided on the appropriate titles for the grandparents? Is Jim going to be 'Gramps", "Granpa", 'Grandpappy' or some other designation? Just curious...
<O>
Congrats to Mom, Dad, Gramp and Gran on the new crewmember. And all others in the flottila.
Looks like she's got silent running down pat. How's here Alarm call though?

Grand kids are the best
You play with them
You spoil them
You get them all sugared up
And then you give them back to the parents. :D
But the best part about having grand kids is listening to your kids complain about how tough it is being a parent :har::har::har::har:
Pay. Back.

I don't know if it has a psychological name for what I'm trying to explain.
You can have a bad day a really bad day, where everything is not going your way
and then you see a little baby girl/boy smiling…….AND Voila all your problems seems so far away.

You have long ago discovered one of the great joys in life, Markus. :)
You never mention Jim if Lauren and Johnny are living close . I wondered if you and Ann would help out / babysitting at all ?

There I was, no Sh.... uh this really happened.
I was sitting in my car with an almost 7 year old granddaughter and an almost 4 year granddaughter. We were waiting for their grandmother (The Frau) to come out of a store. They each had a lollypop to amuse themselves with and I was just waiting.
Well the 7 year old loves to boss the 4 year old around. You see she is much older and more experienced. :03:
The 4 year old, evidently was trying to chew her lollypop. So the 7 year old says, as only a 7 year old can.
"No, don't bite it, put it in your mouth and suck it!"
"No! Don't use your teeth, use your tongue and lick it!"
Being 7 years old, naturally she had to say this in a very loud voice and repeat it about a thousand times.
There I was. Sitting in the front seat, telling myself
"Do not smile, do not smirk, do not laugh. Do not respond in any way what so ever.":o:o:o
It was painful.
That's what it is like being a grandfather.

I have a interesting question
Could it be that your lovely wife have begun to knitter ?
The reason is that every elderly woman I have known or know about have after their have become grandma started to knit.

Our daughter, her husband and most importantly our granddaughter came round yesterday for their usual Monday night tea so Ann and I thought it a good idea to put the christmas tree and accompanying lights up a little early this year for Lucia's first christmas.
Amazingly the tree survived the physical attention given to it by Lucia who was rewarded with a very early christmas present.
Looking at the proud grandads dress sense there are no prizes for guessing which match was on the tv a few hours later.
