How do I load my deck gun

Every time I try to use the deck gun, it is empty of ammo. How do I load it? Sorry for the newbie question

Deck gun & Anti-Aircraft gun must be manned to load.

Deck gun & Anti-Aircraft gun can only be manned in calm weather; stock is 5-km/hr or less I believe. This can be modified; mine is set for 10km/hr or less.

When manned, there will be a box with shells labeled SS = star shell, AA = anti-aircraft, HE = high explosive, & AP = armor piercing. Double click appropriate shell to load and you should see value of total shells go up to maximum loaded. This amount will vary depending on stock game vs GWX or other mega mods. The amount of shells can be modified.

Tip: click "I" to see your torpedo load out. Then click icon on top right to see other ammo load out.

Tip: always load the AA gun & fire off 1 round when starting a cruise, otherwise in the heat of an aircraft battle, the AA gun may not automatically fire even though you've clicked on "fire at will."
