View Full Version : Hi everyone, signed up today
Hi. New around here. I've been flight-simming for a bunch of years but never really done subsims before. I've got SH Wolves of the Pacific but never really played it. Most recently I bought Wolfpack and have tried it a couple of times.
I'd been meaning to sign up anyway but I signed up today to download Solution Solver and Angriffsscheibe_Handbuch_3. I've been looking at the first example in that PDF. I enjoy the contrast between high definition simulation and the old style whizz-wheels.
I really like Wolfpack so far although it would be handy if you could save (single player) and if/when bot-crew are added. I'd like to play it properly obviously but I'm not sure how often I could guarantee having several hours available for a session. As a lone-wolf I've been down to about 150m and made it back up again and generally had a play with things. Then decided I needed to understand a bit more about navigation, hence my reading)
Thanks and hi everyone

Welcome to SubSim tbaac. :salute:
Thanks very much everyone.
Single player mode is next for Wolfpack.
That's great to read. I was beginning to think that maybe the SH series was better suited to the quick-fix 30 minutes or so playing (which may still be the case due to the saves and time compression).
I'm a noob but although I think Wolfpack can do without time compression, I do think it would be really useful if you could save the simulation state. This would be okay as long as you were the only sub in the lobby I think (Yes okay, so if 3 people were in a sub, would they all be able to save and continue their own version later? I don't see why not, they could either all meet up later and continue or all continue separately in their own copies of the sub in separate lobbies; just a thought).
Anyway, bit off-topic, sorry. Thanks very much :salute:
edit: Actually, I'm imagining in my head the above scenario but that one of the players loads up their copy, finds out where all the ships are and then joins a multiplayer later with insider knowledge of where everything else is, which might be a bit naughty.
