Yo.
Real noob question.Trying to do the 90 deg TDC tutorial. When I get to the instruction to "click on` turn TDC on`" where the hell do I do it? Is it the small button between speed and range? If it is nothing happens. H-E-L-P !
Forget this post. Think I have the answer.

Do you play modded stock game or TWoS?

In TwoS if you play with Manual TDC, then there is nothing to switch on, you must lock the target with SPACEBAR, enter the solution numbers which are speed, course, bearing, AoB. The TDC will then calculate the necessary Gyro Angle after which you are ready to fire if your sub is reasonably well aligned with that angle (ideally not more than +/- 10° to avoid impact failures).

With the Sjizzle charts you have also a table which you can use for 90° solutions telling you how many degrees from 360° or 180° you should deviate your sub heading to fire torpedo in a straight line (Gyro Angle=0 or 180).

Of course, it's all about having the best solution numbers first, whatever system or tutorial you use :D

I hope this helps somewhat, I'm not a specialist of Manual TDC or RN, but I know TWoS quite well.

Very strange, I never have to switch on that button, I enter directly the numbers in my WO window which appears when I lock the target. :hmmm:
But it must be my method of gathering the numbers, because I use my scope at the very last moment, and if I use it even when I cannot see the target: I know the bearing already so I can lock the target.

I can also make the torpedo setup directly visible on the main navigation map, and no need to hit any button to activate it, only the above round icon to show the setup.

@XenonSurf...
Those methods you use are perfectly awesome, and you do not need to lock unlock TDC.

But for quicker adjustments, using TDC is best. Just remember to lock it again!

Awesome, yes maybe, but I wish I could still do so, currently I cannot without long training :D
Everytime I get a bit away from the game, my skills diminish...SH5 is damn difficult in realistic mode.

So the above will be helpful for me anyway!
