Actor Luke Perry passed away today at 52 from a stroke. Luke is of course best remembered as a cast member of Beverly Hills 90210. Luke was rushed to the hospital Wednesday morning after suffering a stroke.

Quote:
His reps said doctors had sedated Luke, hoping to give his brain a fighting chance to recover from the trauma of the stroke ... but apparently, the damage was too extensive.
Born in Mansfield, Ohio ... Luke had a prolific acting career on TV and in movies -- getting his start in the early '80s -- and became a household name on '90210.' After that, his career exploded. Most recently he's had a starring role as Archie's dad on CW's hit show.

Luke was a perennial " good guy " who didn't take himself or Hollywood very seriously, staying true to himself.

Rest in peace Luke.

When your time's up, your time is up. Does not matter how long you lived, but whether you enjoyed it or not. The time is the same, no matter whether you choosed laughing or crying. This self-optimization madness everybody is so crazy about today, leads nowhere but into an self-deception. To be happy is the most noble of duties for man, said D.H. Lawrence.

That's too bad. I was never a real fan, but he had a nice self-deprecating sense of humor and wasn't above making fun of his "hunk" image. He was in the original 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' movie, with Kristy Swanson, and when asked what his role was he said "I guess you could say I'm the 'Damsel in Distress'.

just shows you have to live life to the fullest, you never know when your number will be up…

p.s. - I have to admit I have never watched Beverly Hill 90210 at all, never had any interest in it.
