Am I correct in assuming that this patch is NOT in either the GWX or NYGM mods ?

You are correct, it is not. You have to download it separately. That said, it's well worth it.

Thanks. So, I can install it over either of these mods ? Have both separately installed currently.

It’s not a mod so yes you can. It’s a fix for SH3 .exe file. If you want serious realism you will like this patch. If not then don’t. Be sure to save your old .exe. Be sure to read all the fixes that come with it though! There is a fix that allows your boat to stay under 40 hours with oxygen tanks, but the oxygen runs out and cannot be refilled! My favorite.

Thanks. Yeah, I've been looking at it's readme file, sounds great. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to screw something up in GWX or NYGM.

May be having a problem trying to install this patch vis S3F. I point to the install I want, hit the Hsie button in S3F, and S3F seems to quit, as I go to desktop.
No messages of any kind. I waited about ten minutes just to make sure, but nothing happened so I'm assuming the Hsie patch wasn't installed ?

Check your s3f folder, I think it unpacks it in there.

I also have a question on Hsie's patch. The reduced accuracy by AI such as Watch Officer. Does that affect the bearing accuracy of sonar officer as well.

As far as i know not. It only "rounds" the distances for the watch officer. Instead of xy is 5350m away you get 5000 or 5500m distance.
