Incredible news from Wisconsin. How often do you hear about somebody being kidnapped and then it usually ends up tragically. This amazing 13 year old managed to escape her captor who had murdered her parents and now the sicko is in custody. No prior criminal record and the authorities say he took extraordinary steps to avoid being on their radar. Having two daughters, the youngest who's close to the victims age got me pretty emotional thinking what it would be like if something similar happened to either one of them. Incredibly, the police force had just responded to a fake news story in a different county about finding the girl and then they got the call soon after that turned to be true. I hope an pray she get's all the love and support she'll need to overcome such a traumatic experience.

I had given up on her (sad to say), but I'm so happy she's free from that monster/killer of her parents :yep:
I hear they do things to men in jail that commit these kind of crimes :o

I don't think that having one's parents murdered and being kidnapped qualifies to be very lucky.:-?
At least that rear end opening will most likely never see the outside world again.

I think you know what I meant ya bugga....it could have been worse ie. she could also have lost her life.
What I ask myself is:
Will he continue his hobbies after he's released from prison ?
Or
Will the psychologist see this and recommend a lifetime in prison, to protect civilians against this person.

He's most likely a double murderer and a kidnapper. I don't think he'll get a sentence with any chance of living long enough to serve it.;)

Which would be sad, unlawful behaviour.
So glad for her! I hope she recoveres from whatever she was subjected to.Strength to her.
An important thing
She will never as long as she live forget this.
She will learn how to tackle this and work with her fear which will pop when she least expect it.
I feel so sad, when kids and young people are hurts.

This case is even more disturbing than I imagined. Seen her getting on the school bus and decided he was going to abduct her. During the court bail recommendation of 5 million dollars, it was mentioned that Patterson was prepared to even kill any children if present that might witness the abduction.

even more details are coming out that he only had five minutes to tie her up and put her in the trunk, with the safety latch and trunk light removed, and drive past three police cars with sirens and lights flashing on the way to the house from the 911 call the mother made ... during his get away. :o

This is so tragic in so many ways. I'm glad she at least survived this ordeal. She has a long road to recovery if that's at all possible. I don't think his new playmates in prison will be impressed and hopefully, he can look forward to his fellow inmates forming a welcoming committee.
First thing he has to have is a shower!!

Patterson has been moved to another jail when they realized that one of the girls relatives worked at the jail he was in. He was moved to make sure no legal problems would arise in his trial. The relative working there is a woman BTW, but still think she could have worked his punk butt over real good if she had a chance, lol

... or had someone else do it for her. As a Buddhist I'm a pacifist - but I think even I could make an exception for someone like this. There are plenty of people in the correctional system with less scruples than I have. Believe me.

The 911 call from the family who brought her into their house

Responding to a 911 call that came in at approximately 12:53 a.m. from a then-unknown person, Barron County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the home of James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46, at roughly 1 a.m. Both were dead from gunshot wounds, Denise in the bathtub and James by the front door. Their daughter, Jayme, was nowhere to be found. It appeared that someone had broken in through the front door, and no gun was found in the house.
