Hi All,
I have Silent Hunter 3 on Steam and have downloaded GWX Version 3.0 Gold.
I run the game on 1024 x 768 display in Windows 10. Everything on the game looks and works great. The only problem I am encountering is when I try to load a saved game. It will not load and reverts back to the Steam page. After trying 3 or 4 times it will eventually load. I love this game so any help or advise is Greatly appreciated.
Thank-you,
Rob

You need to run Windows 10 in compatibility mode Windows 7 regardless of what type of installation.

The compatibility mode is the fix for Windows 10 users. The game will run seemingly fine without it but you won't generally be able to load saved games unless you run it in Windows 7 compatibility mode. It's generally a good idea to run the exe file as moderator as well.
I've not had a single crash since fixing this part. I initially had issues because I'd set it to Windows XP compatibility for some reason but that won't fix anything. Old habits die hard I guess.

Gave up loading save02. Save01 failed too so no choice but to restart patrol.
Meh
Worked out better than the last anyway
