Hi all!
I'd like to buy a steam version of SH5. I want to expand my steam library so uplay and box versions aren't an option. Is it possible to enjoy steam version? I mean is it fully playable and you don't have to bother with game breaking bugs? Obviously I mean the vanilla version without mods.
Thanks in advance for the answers!

Hello przewitu and welcome to Subsim
:Kaleun_Cheers:

You can get the Steam version of SH5, then you must update the game to version 1.2.0 via U-Play I think (unless Steam has this update to download in its interface). From here, you should then install one of the megamods for SH5, like TWoS or Sober's megamod to fully get a playable game.

Note that just playing the 1.2.0 version of the game will NOT give you an enjoyable experience, so one of these megamods is necessary.

I've encountered that it is possible to run TWoS on steam version without any combinations(I've read that to run this megamod I have to change something in register etc.). Here is the link if someone else need it http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=236598
Anyway thank you Xenon for the answer!:Kaleun_Cheers:

The newest version of TWoS will do all mod install automatically, also convert any Steam version, so you don't need anymore to do any mess in registry or else. However: read all 'install instructions' carefully and follow to the letter.
