Does anyone know of any space games, be they 4x or simulation, where you can command or participate in interdiction of enemy supplies using stealth?

X Rebirth.

I think X3 Terran Conflict is the best X game personally(and best space game of the genre for that matter) I thought X Rebirth was terrible in comparison. You can intercept/destroy freighters but I can't remember there being stealth in X3, not without mods anyway.

Distant Worlds (4X game) has stealth and you can stop/destroy supply lines, which actually affects the economy.

I recall having done some remote controlled drone hacking operations in X Rebirth. But its some time ago.

The game was released prematurely and in a bad state, but it has matured over the following time.

If you mean that you can put your spaceship in Stealth mode, then Evochron Legacy would also qualify. It has a high variety of missions to carry out, in some of them you command wingmen against battleships and Stealth plays an important role, but don't expect high complexity in these missions...
The spaceship setup, its loadout and its controls instead HAVE high complexity.

But there is something to compare all space games with sea warfare: In all today's space games, aliens are mostly called Pirates :)

Yes right, I remember to have played this in a later version 1.5x and it was quite challenging, it was part of taking over (boarding) the capital ship. :yeah:
