Having trouble starting Silent Hunter 4

Hello all,

As the title implies, I'm having trouble starting the game. I have the disk version installed. Whenever I try to run sh4.exe, nothing will show up on screen. When I look in my Task Manager, it says that it's running as a background application, and I have idea how to bring it to the foreground.

If anyone could help me out, I'd be extremely grateful.

Got it working. A Windows troubleshooter popped up after I set the game to run with Windows Vista Service Pack 2 compatibility mode. Game runs fine now.

Be sure to change the install path when the disc will ask…
You may install it to a new folder you have created outside program or program file x86, this way you will be able to run the large adress aware application for running more than 2Gb ram ingame :yep:
