This can't be right - no controls, no compass, etc.

Hi guys,

I finally got around to giving SH5 a shot. I must be missing something. There are no controls to config torpedoes (only the fill in the blanks options when a target is locked), no way to set bow planes, there's not even a compass. I cannot find anywhere that I can actually enter an accurate course to follow. The only controls for depth/speed are the crude arcade type inputs in the lower left of the screen.

I must be missing something here. I can't imagine that a game sold as a "sim" would be so devoid of real world details, especially from a company that has so much history producing sub sims.

If indeed, the game shipped so without any of real world inputs and controls, can you please suggest appropriate mods to get me there? A working nomograph would be great too.

Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction. It appears to have provided all of the missing pieces.

Everything seems to be working fine, except all of the voices are German. I've checked all of the settings I could find. Everything says it should be English, but no change. Suggestions?

There is a mod for English voices somewhere on Subsim but I personally prefer German voices in German boat...:yep:
