A few times now I have had a CTD . when reviewing my event viewer . it says SHControllers is causing the problem .. question is how do I replace this faulty act file and re do .. without causing problems for my current campaign ?

Uninstall and use a registry cleaner.

You will get an option as to whether you want to delete your SH5 saved games so you just say no.
You can take a copy as a backup C:\Documents\SH5 of it before un-installilling if you are worried about it.
When you install your game again your saved games including the campaign you refer to will be waiting to be played.
