View Full Version : Where can I download AdBlock for firefox
I am getting rather annoyed by the amount of ads on firefox (Google) on my old XP. Does anyone know where I can download AdBlock? Am having problems finding a firefox extension.:hmmm:

Just google Adblock Plus. It will take you right there.
I've started using the Brave browser. It blocks ads and trackers automatically.

I also use an add-on called "Disconnect":

And if you really want to block content unless you authorize it, there is "NoScript".

Although, NoScript is quite aggressive and you will probably find that many of the features of your favorite websites will no longer work unless you actively whitelist them.
As I have tried before all I get on the AdBlock Plus page is a greyed out (light blue) " + Add to Firefox" button that does nothing.
I see a message that says I need Firefox 51.0 or later, my version is 47.0, the latest for XP.
Has anyone got an old version?:D

Scroll down to version 2.8.2 or earlier.
Thanks Nathaniel for the link, all installed and working a treat now, thanks to Steve as well.
Cheers.

uBlock Origin is a usable alternative to Adblock.
Firefox Extension.
