I've noticed that Paul Allen seems to be donating a lot of time and effort into locating wartime wrecks over the past few years. Can't be easy to locate wrecks at such depths.

So that makes 3 wrecks Paul's discovered so far. Musashi, Indianapolis and now Lexington.

Edit. 4 wrecks. Forgot the Astoria!

That TBD Devastator is amazingly well-preserved. Not long enough!

What a great find. :Kaleun_Thumbs_Up: Robert Ballard was looking for the WW 2 Aircraft Carrier Yorktown as well.

I too am glad they found this wreck, but they certainly knew the area it was in at least ...

The badly damaged Lexington, nicknamed "Lady Lex," was deliberately sunk by another US warship at the conclusion of the battle.
