LSH3 2015 U-Boat Availability

New mod for me, but unfortunately an old brain.

I'm in my first career with LSH3 2015 and as of Feb 11, 1942 I'm still stuck in the Type IIA out of Brest. My research & searching the config files tell me I should have access to the Type VII by now, but neither Commander nor the game give me the option. Also, I selected "historical availability" in the Commander options.

I must be totally missing something. I'm hoping I don't have to start a brand new career with a different start date just to access a different boat type.

Pick up the telephone and do a transfer you should be able to see all boats available.

Thanks Peter - that's the way my logic took me too. I transferred down to Lorient & still only have the IIA available. I checked for renown too and I believe the VII requires 2500 and I have 13,625.

Something not making sense here.
You should have received radio messages with your U-boat number informing you that upgrades were available including the type IX and VIIC

DOH! Another senior moment here. I was relying on my original SH3 experience, then actually read the LSH manual. I didn't realize I had to transfer to Erproburgsstelle / Danzig to get a new boat. Now I'm trying to transfer out of Danzig, lol.
