View Full Version : Formula 1: 'Grid girls' will not be used at races this season
'Grid girls' will no longer be used by Formula 1 from the start of the 2018 World Championship season.
Sean Bratches, managing director of commercial operations, said the change would be made "so as to be more in tune with our vision for this great sport".
F1 managing director of motorsports Ross Brawn told BBC Radio 5 live in December that the use of female promotional models was "under review".
The new F1 season begins on 25 March.

More silliness as if they were being forced to participate against their will.

Perhaps they should keep the grid girls and offer them to the top three finishers. Wouldn't that be in tune with their vision of this great sport?

What do they think that if they have grid girls then its basically endorsing everything a minority of people take to extremes? How about they ask the girls if they feel they're being exploited before making the decision.
That said, I haven't watched F1 since Vettel/Red Bull were dominating and we lost the scream of the V8. Can barely hear those turbo junk heaps.

F1 is a massive bore so I don't care, I stopped years ago when real racing became follow the leader and team orders. As for the topic of this thread morons are running the planet.
