Manually configure AOD

I hope someone can tel me how to manually configure AOD for sound. When I try to run soundset it crashes with a page fault. If I could see how to edit resources.cfg I might be able to overcome this problem. Can someone help?

Are you trying to run the game through a DOSBox, or D-Fend Reloaded, or similar?

Run with DOSbox and try autosettings via setup.exe (under dosbox)
