Seems to be a bit of an overlooked subject at least in English language literature from my experience. Does anyone know if there have been any English-language books that devote at least part of their text to Japanese PT boat and MTB technology and operations during WW2? In case anyone's unfamiliar with the subject these are the kinds of vessels I was curious to learn a bit more about: http://www.ptboatworld.com/PT_Boat_Info/JapaneseMTBs.htm

I wish I could help with your question, but your link led me to something I've been looking for. :Kaleun_Cheers:

This part belongs in a modelling thread BUT I've finally found a source for US red anti-foul (aka copperite) paint. :D

The bad news (so far) is that you have to order a whole set of paint shades to get the red anti-foul.

They briefly talk about the program in Hara's book:

If I recall, they had horrid engines (used aircraft engines):har:, so they were under-powered.

They are not comparable to US PT-Boats, but I know very little about them. Basically, too little, too late.
