View Full Version : For marijuana users, it's high times as California makes recreational use legal
"Groove on! Groove on!" blared from speakers outside a gray warehouse in Santa Ana. Inside, a line of 60 people snaked through the shop, waiting to be helped by a budtender.
"We were bombarded!" said Robert Taft Jr., founder of the marijuana dispensary 420 Central.
When the shop opened at 7 a.m. Monday — Day 1 of legal recreational pot sales in California — a handful of people had already lined up. Within two hours, more than 100 customers, some still nursing holiday hangovers, had made purchases. As they walked out, Taft shouted, "Enjoy your new freedom!"

Been legal here in Massachusetts for a year now. Dire prognostications of the skies imminent fall were greatly overestimated.
I hear Ol' Jeff Sessions, with Trump's blessing is gearing up to put a Federal Kibosh on those pot-legalizing states; Sessions has had an anti-pot stance for a long time and now he's got the power to really do something about the issue; given a number of the subject states are in DEM control, it looks like it may not be smooth sailing...

About time. It is nonsensical to have tobacco and alcohol legal but pot illegal.
I choose not to indulge in any of these, but that's my choice. Other people may choose to indulge and that should be their their choice.
If people want to smoke pot or whatever until they die-is their problems
I don't care as long they don't get the money by doing criminal stuff.
I have through Danish, Swedish news article been following the politicians for and against free cannabis
I have also been reading news from Holland(English version) and from USA
From this I have learned following-It's more normal that the scientific survey around stuff like Cannabis and Hash is very negative in states where there is a political majority against this
And in states like Holland and some states in USA the scientific survey is almost positive.

The FDA needs to move marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule II.

To put it back where it belongs and erase Nixon's public screw job.

Schedule 2 puts it in the same class as cocaine, opium and methamphetamine. It doesn't belong in that group either.

IMO it should be classed the same as Alcohol. A controlled substance, legally available to adults with social and legal restrictions on when it should be used.

Why?
A minimum of schedule II. I also would like to see it lower on the schedule.
