Hi all,

As the topic says I am getting no end of trouble re: youtube & IE11.

Anything youtube wise linked in the movie or music threads are presented as a black image ????

Firefox quantum doesn't suffer these problems so I'm wondering what is going on.

Why not just use Firefox you may ask, well FF is having it's own problems atm, screen blacking out etc.

So I thought I'd just throw this out there to see what you guys are getting, for your info;

All IE addons are off (adblockers etc.)

Lookie here (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=2486324&postcount=37).

The problem itself is with the site and doesn't seem to be very easy to fix, IIRC.

Thanks Dowly, worked like a charm mate, but they (MS or YT) need to get their act together. Tried YouTube same problermo. So I don't think it's subsim :o

I get the same thing here and I only use IE11
Now at another forum I Moderate at? We don't have this issue.
We use Simple Machines Forum there.

This site uses a web standard that does not support HTML5, better browsers can work around that, IE can't.

IE10, IE11, Edge - all bad options, sorry to say. Quesiton is whether there are any better options left. Browsers once known to protect porivacy, old Opera, old Firefox, do not do that anymore, and instead went all to the Chrome engine, which does not relaly understand what "orivacy" means.

But its 1.247 milliseconds faster in loading a site, so the change is really justified. :yeah:

And then there is Windows 7, 8 and 10 updates. All of them have messed up Explorer/Edge repeatedly over the past two years.
