View Full Version : Council plan to liquefy bodies
A council plan to offer an eco-friendly alternative to cremation by liquefying the dead has hit a blockage after water companies refused permission for flushing the remains down the drain.
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council in the west Midlands has approved the installation of a £300,000 “Resomator” for water cremations at its Rowley Regis crematorium.
The process, known as alkaline hydrolysis, uses chemicals, heat, and pressure to dissolve bodies to bone in less than three hours and uses significantly less energy than cremation.http://www.independent.co.uk/news/cremation-councils-death-liquefy-burial-chemical-eco-friendly-a8115321.html

"less energy". Yeah, what else could this be about.
Many people having the time to think out such things have too little existential fights for own survivial to care for.
Whats next? Sending surviving family members a bill over the CO2 bilance of the deceased?
This is just plain "SICK". :nope:
Soylent green drink anyone?

I don't see the problem with alternatives, I mean it's not that different to cremation in the grand scheme of things but I don't really care what happens to me when I'm gone. I can imagine that the traditional burial costs are astronomical these days though.

So funeral parlours will soon be charging £15k to liquidize us. Geezus as if they don't rob the grieving enough already! Dying is a money spinner for more than should be allowed :nope:

Its not the method that angers people, its the "why" of "why this over that".

Friend of mine had to fork out over £5000! For a standard funeral service, dread to think what it would cost with the trimmings.

"liquefying the dead"?
I hope I don't live to see the day when they will be fed intravenously to the living.
Sounds crazy? Think of all the absurdities we've witnessed in the world, saw on tv, read in the newspapers lately. In some parts of the world, common sense has been banned altogether, and it seems to be spreading like a highly contagious disease.
And people seem to love it. Ignorance is bliss.

I don't see it being much different than the trillions of creatures that have died over time and became part of the water supply. There's a bunch of people in the mix too.
As long as the discharge is completely inert and safe, I'm okay with it.
Just remember, the water on the planet is finite, it's been naturally recycled over the years. That glass of water your drinking was also once drunk by a dinosaur, Louis XIV and Julius Cesear at one point.
They all peed in it too.
