Im new and I don't know what to download. I see too much mods. What are the must-have?

Another thing ... My game is french so french translated mods are better.

Finally, I don't like to feel alone in this great war. Me vs all the royal navy. Is there a mod that improve our allies? So they can help us for example when we call assistance etc ...
