So, what is on everyone's Christmas Wish List?

Peace on earth (not much chance of that like) and health and happiness to my family and friends.

Hey, this is nice. Only just over 5 weeks, I think, so I'll have to get my Santa suit out soon and my nutsack.

I'd like a really nice single malt whisky, that's all, plus some peace and quiet by a roaring fireside to enjoy it :)

JEEZE! I gotta go with Steed on this one. At 66 and having just spent a better part of a week with two cars loaded (Priorities man!: Checkbook, passport, catfood and litter with box-two carriers-wife's jewelry casket etc) and clean underwear) ready to leave my house to the fires, less is more and everything(new stuff) just doesn't matter. A new book from my daughter on my Kindle perhaps and a good Christmas dinner with the local vino gets it!:yep:

My wish list: some crisp, cold dry weather; some uninterrupted time off from my job; eggnog (nonalcoholic, of course); chili; snow; visits with family and friends and a couple of good movies.

^ One of which must be The Great Escape (or Von Ryan's Express)

Actually very little.

At this point in my life, I have pretty much what I want and what I don't have I either can't afford or don't have the space for.

I find that the older I get the less materialistic I become. Not from any sense of profound wisdom, but just an acceptance that I already have a lot of stuff and don't need more stuff.

I wish my wife felt that way

To be honest, so do I. The Frau is quite materialistic. Not that there is any thing especially wrong with that.

Moira just brings stuff back to the house all the time. I tell her we don't need more stuff but there's always a 'good' reason for it

The same here. Several years back, after my health seemed to start to noticeably decline, I started to look about and realized a basic truth: no mater how old I would get, the certainty was I would live fewer years in the future than I had accrued to that time. I started to simplify my life (not that it was really very over-complicated) and have gotten to a point where I have what I consider my basic necessities and no desire to add anything to what I will leave behind...

I guess my Xmas wish would be what most people would want: a bit more peace in life and an Xmas or two more...

Never thought of that but something along them lines would certainly bring back a lot of fond childhood memories :yeah:

Yep:yep:

Modern digital track sets also bring up many juicy new features for the cars and tracks.

I hope they don't meet. That could be awkward. :03:

Well, we called them splinters, but they were actually slivers we had to pull out of our eyes after our father beat us with the 2x4.

But we were thankful, sometimes he used the end without the rusty nails.
