VLC player issue

Going back a while I used to be able to double click on an mp3 file and VLC would open and play it automatically. Now if I double click on a file it opens VLC but doesn't play until I click on play or press the space bar.
How do I change it back?:hmmm:

Tools -> Preferences -> bottom-left corner "show settings" tick "all" -> Find "Playlist" on the list -> tick "Auto start"
