Unable to Run SH3.. Help!

New to the forum, any help apprecaited. not that great with IT though!

I think I bought SH3 about 10 years ago, and now I am semi-retired I find I have more time on my hands. So I unwrapped it over the weekend, and installed it, However it will not run. After the installation a pop up box appeared, which ran through a checklist and ticked all the items green

When I tried to run the game I get the following error appearing, it refers to Windows 95? Does it mean I cannot play the game,On my current PC which is running Windows 7.

I have a screenshot of the popup message but cannot see how to attach to this message.

Install in x86 C, or create a folder to run Sh3.

Hi Guys
You should never install in the Program Files(x86) directory by choice.
This is not a folder but directory which has restrictions to it.
Try to put your game in a new folder of your own making.

Hi Gremlin. I'm sure there is a fix for your install from disk but I got SH3 on Steam for £3.50. Great value for a great game. Steam also will give you the latest version which is probably not on the disk.

I decided to download the steam version at £3.49 who would not?
hopefully it will be straight forward and I can go hunting very soon :)
