New guy on the sub...

Gentlemen,

I am a newbie on deck here. I bought the key for SH5 last night, downloaded ubisoft and downloaded SH5.

I have only went on to sort of mess about and get a felling for the game.

As a newbie, I have had a brief look at the forum but there is far too much to go on reading for the now.

I am not trying to be lazy, I will look around the forum in due course. But does anyone have any recommendations as to the first things I do? eg, updates, downloads, bugs fixer...etc...

Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Wolves of Steel Mod highly recommended Has auto Installer for ease and convenience has full instructions, No Mod conflicts to worry about

Don't rush getting set up, be methodical and try not to be " Lazy" :03: it will save time in the long run

Vanilla game broken useless

Bugs Glitches Workarounds Etc. all covered in
Berbsters Guide
dedicate some time read thru it . You will get a better understanding of whats involved getting your game from hopeless to the Best Subsim Ever, This is good Advice trust me.

I have installed the Wolves of Steel Mod, though when I try to go through some of the tutorials on it, the game crashes.

Still totally new at all over this and trying to get use to it.

Willkommen!
To my knowledge, TWoS doesn't have tutorials. Do you mean the vanilla game tutorials? If so, sounds like something went wrong with the install. This mod is super stable. Not to say it will never crash, but I've never experienced any yet (about 40+ hours total).
