Disable auto targeting

Hello,

I want to do fully manual targeting, but... when I look at some ship through the periscope, all the data are automatically entered in the notepad in the upper right corner. This quite ruins the fun. How can I disable it? Is it possible without installing any mod?

It is part of the realism settings. Iirc you can't change it after starting a patrol. But you can change it in the single mission section.

To have it enabled in Naval Academy you have to enter Single Missions, set realism, quit, then enter Academy.
