It's been a while since I had a dream I could remember (not the best sleeper). Part of this one I had just last night though was so weird that it would be hard for me to forget it. I was in some small town by the ocean, and I think I was going to a movie theater for some reason. I remember I was walking down the street towards where the beach was, and I looked up and I saw a Typhoon-class submarine flying through the sky. Typhoons are big, but this one was several times bigger than the real thing, like Zeppelin-size, and it was just moving very slowly through the sky above the ocean. I was very confused, but no one else in the town seemed to be bothered by it. Th giant sub continued flying from the right side of my vision to my left until it was out of sight. I think I just continued on to the theater after that. I have no idea what my subconsciousness was thinking, but I thought it was worth sharing here. What a strange dream!

So, was the movie any good?...

Wishful thinking or feelings of inadequacy? :haha:

Dreams are usually just entertainment factories for the subconscious mind, but sometimes they can reveal the future or bear a warning of things to come.

I try not to remember mine ... but one was really disturbing one time about 20 years ago ... I was in a Casino in the desert that looked like the one over by Bullhead, AZ ... I think it was Laughlin, Nevada or something like that.

In fact the casino looked like a K-mart store with tinted windows and all of a sudden everyone started running out of the casino and yelling that something had happen in the desert. It was a train wreck or something like that with radioactive fallout. I went to my van and looked down at my pants leg caught up above my leg showing the flesh was all red.

I laid down in the van and was sorry that I had not filled up with gas when I got there and that's when the dream ended.

It was so real that I shared it with a friend and he said to write it down. So I wrote it down and turned it into a story called,

"Fear of Exodus Soon and Very Soon"

Anyone else have dreams:

That well may be, though your dream is a much more realistic situation however scary it was. Something tells me I won't ever see a giant flying Russian submarine in my lifetime :haha:

Eichhörnchen, I possibly was hungry, but not for the vehicular kind of sub! And I forgot what the movie was unfortunately.

I have long had the somewhat strange ability to "edit" my dreams while I'm dreaming, a sort of "well, this isn't what I want, so let's try that" sort of situation; I seem to be actually aware of being in a dream, and the ability to 'consciously' modify the course of my dreams may be the reason I have had very, very few nightmares in my life...

Starting just before my teen years, I started having a recurring dream where I am walking down a street, dressed all in black, and I suddenly feel a sharp pain in my back; I turn around and standing there is a man pointing a gun a me; my next thought is "But, I'm not thirty, yet"; at that point I always woke up...

In mid-November, 1980, I was standing at a bus stop in Hollywood, located at a corner where there is a gas station. I was dressed in black jeans, black turtleneck, black coat and black boots. To my right, as I faced the street, were a couple of cars waiting to make a right turn. On my left, I noticed a man walking down the street, not on the sidewalk, but in the traffic lane. As he approached, he lifted up the front of his shirt and pulled a pistol from his waistband. He calmly walked up to a few feet behind the nearest car and opened fire on the car through the rear window, which shattered when hit. All the people at the stop, myself included, ran for cover. The driver of the car gunned his engine and wildly tried to make a wide right turn, losing control and ending up on the curb, narrowly missing a group of people who were waiting for the bus on the cross street. I then took notice that I was standing on the fuel pump island of the gas station; it dawned on me standing next to something that could be explosive if hit by a round was not a good place to be; I turned around and there was the man, pointing his gun in my direction; I was directly in the path between him and the car he was shooting at; I froze for a second and somehow, I still don't remember how, I managed to get out of the way, The man fired a few more rounds at the car, then he calmly put the pistol back in his waistband and equally calmly walked away...

In mid-December, 1980, a month later, I had my 30th birthday. And I have never had that recurring dream again...

I sometimes experience dreams about getting lost or separated from the wife whilst shopping etc.

The wife thinks I'm weird and she's probably right.

Could be worse. Drs. Pierce and Mcintyre drew blood from Frank Burns while he was sleeping. Frank didn't wake up. Frank burns later woke in the morning saying he had an odd dream where he dreamt he was a fountain style soft drink with a large straw sticking out of him.

True, lucid dreaming is rare and the subject of much research right now. I dream sometimes that I am a big squirrel, then I wake up and guess what?

I'm a Lucid dreamer, not always of course.

Either I change dreams when I don't like the dream or the dream tell me to wake. Sometimes its like the remote is too far away and I can't reach it.

The funny thing is that my brain-in-use-when-awake also seems to be working in my sleep-If I have a weird dream this section of my brain kicks in and say-Markus this is impossible physics this happens now and then.

Haven't have a nightmare sine my childhood and youth.

Edit: This Lucid possibility it seems or looks like its longer and longer time between this moment. In the beginning when I found out I had this lucid thing It happened several times per week now a lot less.

Safer than waking up in another women's bed. :03:

If you've never watered the wardrobe you've never had a heavy night :)
