SH4 vers 1.5

G'day all
I'm new to SH4 1.5 and really enjoying my Steam download of Wolves of the Pacific + U boat missions. I will try some Mods if thats possible with the steam vers ...some guidance may be needed though.
But before I try that I find that I'm having problems (can't access the Campaign for Allies or Axis Options) of the game. Access goes as far as the Date 9th December and then windows message Silent Hunter has stopped working etc.
Help with this problem would be appreciated.

Possible compatibilty problem if running Windows 10 although generally SH4 and OS10 are ok?
SH4 needs to have the Large Adress Aware (LAA) application installed If you do not have it you can find it in my SH4 signature.
Running your appllications as Administrators will help also with stability when loading.

About your question. The best I can say is you may have a corrupted file. It's common with the games installs. Try removing and installing again. Make sure you install in it's own directory. The mods won't work if the game is in the "Program Files (x86)" directory.

Thanks for the help and well wishes.
I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling both SH4 allies and axis files and all is well with Campaigns.
Now to find out why SH5 won't start.

It's a Steam download. I think it's supposed to work with Uplay and visa versa but does neither.

I bought SHIV from Steam and want to verify that it is version 1.5. The steam store does not include this information in the game description either in the store or my game library. I also can't find a version number anywhere in the game.

Does anyone know how I can verify that its version 1.5?

A newbie question.

My map scale and tools will only show distances in nautical miles. Yards are shown for under 5 NM in the tutorials I've watched. I can't find anywhere in the game settings on this. Am I missing something or do I need a mod?

You can see version on the main screen, lower right corner of your screen. It will look like "v 1.5"

I found it, but dammit, its V1.3. What's up with that Steam?

v1.3 is the stock original version of SH4, NOT "SH4 wolves of the Pacific"
There is a patch to v1.4 somewhere, but 'wolves' is THE v1.5 that most of the MODS are made for.

"Wolves of the Pacific" somehow got printed on my SH4 1.0 box...

v1.5 is "The U-Boat Missions".
