From the description in game, specifically the one in the loading screen, I supposed that the G7a TI was out of the set of torpedos that took part in the Torpedokrise, because, despite having the glaring issue of being easily spottable, it was a consolidated, stable and fast weapon, differently to the first electric torpedos types. And so it became my weapon of preference in SH5, and, despite not having still many patrol days of my back, it revealed to be what I thought. At this point of time, I only suffered a single dud, and it had my help because I shot an AoB of 131 since I was out of time. Now, out of curiosity, to have a comparison of the cost\efficiency in sinking some kind of ship, I checked more about it. I must admit that my research was quite superficial, but from the scrawny Wikipedia page about the topic, I found info that contrasts what I learned in the game. The page says that the torpedo in question suffered a 30% failure rate due to technical issues, so I suppose, good shots that gave nonetheless a dud (so, my shot in game is not included in this). Now, this does not reflect in game. Anyone knows more about the topic? I'm fairly interested.

Talking about the cost, I found little, only a post that gave the figure of 50000 rm. So, using a converter of currencies, for example, sinking a Tribal class DD with two torpedoes, should give a cost\efficiency ratio of around 35, but I'm not quite sure.
