Actor and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and Oscar-nominated actor Sam Shepard passed away at 73. Sam Played great roles in the movies like The Notebook and Stealth. Sadly, it was ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease and it's complications that claimed the life of Sam Shepard. You are also right when you say that the cowboy movies won't be the same either. Then again, Sam was good in any of his character portrayals.
