Our Terms of Service does not allow 3rd party hosting with your current account level.

*What is 3rd Party Hosting?

Photobucket defines 3rd party hosting as the action of embedding an image or photo onto another website. For example, using the <img> tag to embed or display a JPEG image from your Photobucket account on another website such as a forum, Etsy, eBay auction listings, a blog, etc. is definitively 3rd party hosting.

Why Photobucket?

Photobucket is the global destination for linking and 3rd party hosting. In Photobucket’s 14-year history, the Company amassed over 100 million registered users, over 15 billion images stored, 2 million daily uploads and 10 billion photos accessed monthly.

Easy to Use – Upload a photo from any device and copy the embed code with one click to host a photo with no development or technical knowledge required

Competitive, fixed pricing Offers the only unlimited 3rd party hosting plan (Commercial and Personal Use)

Are my pictures still safe?

Yes! All your photos are still available by logging into your Photobucket Account. Photobucket has only restricted the ability to view your photos on 3rd party sites.

Can I download my Photos?

Absolutely, at any time. It is an easy four step process:

Step 1. Login to your Photobucket Account

Step 2. Navigate to your library page

Step 3. View a photo and click the download button

Step 4. The picture will be saved to your computer

Excessive usage??? My storage is 1% full how can this be excessive? I can't remember the last time I uploaded anything to the site! For me this is it. They have been trying to get me to upgrade my bloody account for years in any number of ways;

"You have exceeded your limit ! Your account will be disabled, upgrade your account now!"... This is a standard favourite...!

Now this, why the hell would I want to use Photobucket for any other reason than 3rd party hosting ? I got the pigging originals you dopes.

The price for this upgrade you may ask? $400 a year..... :haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::har::har::har::har: :har:

They are kidding me right?

Thoughts and suggestions chaps, I used to use Image Shack but not sure they are still around. Tried Tinypic but not a great fan.

All suggestions greatly appreciated.

I'm doing Imgur right now, but don't like them much better, though I'm not bombarded with advertisements too much... Photobucket has been deteriorating for probably the last 10 years, acting more and more like AOL, and then went beyond that...

Edit: I just tried to download my Albums: FAIL
I just tried to delete my Albums: FAIL
I just tried to delete individual files: Partial FAIL - It's way too much effort to have to click on the individual files, only to be interrupted 15 times each one, but a pop-up... Then, 1/2 of the Captcha photos fail to take... "There's seems to be a problem. Something didn't take. Try again..." I'm done. They can keep my 2+gig of screen grabs on their dad-blamed servers, eating up space...

I'm not sure why some are drawn out on the carpet by Photobucket to pay. Some of my friends have been nailed. I sign in using FB. 21% full with photo yet I'm offered $2.49/month to go ad free. I can still upload and see my pictures. Thus far they have left me alone.

I recommend using imgur.

They have left me alone also, for the most part (some of my images are "blanked", but most are not), but the site is now, for all practical purposes, completely unusable. I cannot do a thing with a picture after uploading (if I can even get the upload dialog going), except to look at it. I cannot get a link to use for a picture anymore. I also cannot access the account from anything other than MS IE, and I get all sorts of dialogs and pop-ups about saving, downloading or running various files and JavaScripts that I did not start, click-on, or hover over... If I could at least get a usable bbCode link within a 24 hour period of time, I might try to use it, but it will no longer do that for me. Dead End. I will not pay for a service that does not work, and this includes MS Windows now.

I've so far been untouched and there is nothing in my account status to indicate upcoming 3rd party issues, but I expect that to change.

I pretty much stopped using them for the same reasons listed above. The click to get the image code doesn't work anymore but I can work around that by clicking on the image, and then right clicking on it to copy the image address, which I paste between the and commands I type in. Like I did below.

Part of my problem with them is I have java script disabled and use an ad blocker as well. I used the ad blocker because even though I was paying them $30.00 a year to not have ads, I still had ads that made the site very, very slow to load.

This message is brought to you by MS Windows 10. :arrgh!:

I have been using Facebook to post images of my patrols; so far, it has been much more reliable than Photobucket. I agree - it's pretty rich that they demand that much $$$ for worsening service. Often I have to submit an image 4-5 times on Photobucket before it's visible; linking thru Facebook has worked like a dream.

Sadly, I think that Photobucket will profit quite a bit...scaring casual 'net users into the upgrade, b/c they are not computer literate enough to use a workaround.

BTW. I can't download images on this website that are hosted by photobucket.
For example when I try to download Buddahaid's image I get a 166 kb file but can't open it even though it's listed as an ordinary jpg picture.

It has been like that for over a year.
I'm using Postimage.org to host my pictures. So far no problems.

I don't know what's causing that. I just downloaded his picture with no problems.

That doesn't mean I won't have problems tomorrow, though. I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I haven't tried that yet as I only have the default gallery but my guess is that you have to go to my images, pick your gallery and then go to upload.

Thanks for this thread. Been using photo-f-it for ages but they took down my images too so finding a new site is on the schedule. Some good tips here.

Just about everyone (approaching three figures) I know personally here in the UK who use PB are having identical issues.

http://imgur.com/ for the win.

My account is still open as I can not be bothered to tell them to close it. I hate PB as it just gives me a headache just logging in and any how no longer bother with pics.

Any pictures of sub-related stuff that you post here, feel free to use our picture albums feature.

As far as I'm aware it's a blanket effect - I believe PB changed their T&C's on or about the 26th or 28th of June. However, they neglected to warn their users in good time so it's generated "more than a bit" of ill will towards them.

I changed over to Flickr myself and closed my account after deleting all my images.

A got an email from PB telling me not to worry, I'm grandfathered in UNTIL MY SUBSCRIPTION NEEDS RENEWING. Some grandfathering. What they mean is they are obligingly fulfilling their obligation to a paying customer until it's time to pony up again. :nope::nope::nope:
